The Belvedere, the Lenbachhaus and the Pinakothek der Moderne hold his work, among other public collections.
Daniel Knorr was born in Bucharest in 1968 and moved to Germany with his family at fourteen. He lives and works in Berlin and Hong Kong, and Galerie nächst St. Stephan in Vienna represents him. His solo shows began with the Romanian Pavilion at the 51st Venice Biennale in 2005.
Institutions in Kassel, Basel, Warsaw, Auckland, Arnsberg, Vienna and Tübingen have given him solo shows. The Belvedere, the Lenbachhaus and the Pinakothek der Moderne hold his work. In 2017 the Pinakothek showed his ninety-six papier-mâché figures from 1999. That year he also took part in Documenta 14, in Athens and Kassel.

- La femme de ma vie ne m’aime pas encore, 1999: ninety-six figures in painted papier-mâché. The Pinakothek der Moderne showed it from 1 June to 10 September 2017 as The Woman of My Life Doesn’t Yet Love Me.
